2.23.1 Preliminary check
Check that the existing membrane appears to be in good order. Check to see if an flood tests have been carried out to confirm that the membrane is performing to the manufacturers specifications.
Check all exposed surfaces are straight, plumb and undamaged. Ensure the membrane has cured according to manufacturers specifications.
2.23.2 Clean Surface
If you are applying the render system directly over the membrane ensure all dust, dirt and other contaminants are removed prior to the render application.
2.20.6 Improve adhesion
To improve the adhesion of the render system a slurry coat must be applied. Refer RCS TradeSpec 4.13
