System Selection
All Resene Construction Systems cladding systems are supplied and installed by registered Resene Construction Systems plasterers who are qualified and licensed to apply our products.
Each Resene Construction Systems system has different requirements in terms of application and installation from our ‘DRYZONE’ cavity based cladding systems through to rendering solutions over brick or masonry substrates.
All Resene Construction Systems systems include supply and installation right through to the finished texture style, in your favourite Resene colour.
A mimimum of 6 hand applied layers, which is twice as many as some of our competitors.
All backed up by a range of products and services that will enhance the system for the life of the building.
Specification
Many factors make up the specification all of which when combined accurately during the construction stages will make for a shining example of craftsmanship, and ultimately durability for the life of the structure.
Your Architectural or Design professional will specify our selected system to your project. It is imperative that the specification is completed in accordance with the Architectural & Design detailing.
Our premium Rockcote & Plaster Systems range of plasters and facade systems are rigorously tested to comply with the New Zealand Building Code.
A lot of time is spent before construction starts getting all the detailing right for your project— numerous meetings that fine tune the original concept.
During construction, the exterior cladding must be constructed and installed as per the selected Resene Construction Systems system, architect or designers instructions. This includes other trades who are working on the project, such as roofers, plumbers, electricians etc.
Most importantly, any sub-contractor who needs to make a penetration through the cladding for wiring or pipes etc, must ensure that the penetration is formed and sealed according to the specification. Neither the B.C.A. nor Resene Construction Systems will pass any deviation without written consent from the architect, designer or Resene Construction Systems.
Buildings may be designed and built to parameters other than those contained in the NZBC, provided they still meet the requirements of the Building Code. Such building designs are termed Alternative Solutions. They can only be used when the territorial authority is satisfied, on reasonable grounds, that the building would comply with the Building Code if the work is completed in accordance with this design.
