DBH – Guidance on house repairs and reconstruction following the Canterbury earthquake

This guidance only applies to houses directly affected by the Canterbury earthquake. The focus is on foundation and floor elements but it also covers common areas of ‘above the floor’ damage such as chimneys. The recommendations have been developed in cooperation with technical experts and will help to safeguard people and homes in future earthquakes.

Earthquake Damage

On Saturday morning an Earthquake registering 7.1 hit Canterbury. Many of our clients have called to advise that they have no issue with their Rockcote cladding. However in the interests of those homeowners that may have issues post earthquake we have solutions that can be applied by our network of registered plasterers.
